Thank you for using EOS (the “App”). We value your privacy and are committed to handling your information transparently and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how the App uses device permissions, collects, processes, stores, and shares user data. Please read it carefully before using the App.
This section describes sensitive permissions requested by the App, their purposes, and how related data is handled. We request permissions only to the extent necessary to provide features, and, where applicable, we will ask for user consent before acting.
Purpose: Used when creating or editing tasks/nodes to take photos or record videos (for example, to capture on-site photos, upload evidence, or attach media to a task) so that maintenance personnel or task creators can document conditions and complete tasks effectively.
Data Types: Photos and videos captured by the user (which may contain personal information such as faces appearing in images).
Handling: Capture is initiated by the user. If the user chooses to upload photos or videos, we will upload them to our servers or to third-party cloud storage services authorized by us (please configure the actual storage provider if applicable, e.g., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, etc.). Uploads are performed over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Media stored on servers are subject to the retention and deletion policies described in this Policy. If media remain only on the user’s device and are not uploaded, we will not automatically upload them.
User Controls: Users may revoke camera permission in system settings. Revoking this permission will disable related capture features but will not affect other core App functions.
Purpose: To help ensure maintenance personnel promptly receive important notifications (such as critical task updates, in-app incoming-call style notifications, or emergency dispatches) by briefly keeping the device awake when necessary to improve notification reliability.
Data Collection: This permission itself does not collect personal information; it only affects device power management behavior.
User Controls: Users may disable wake-related notification settings in the App or system settings; doing so may result in delayed or less prominent notifications.
Purpose: To read from or write to external device storage (for selecting/saving task attachments, importing/exporting task data, backing up, or restoring offline files). On newer Android versions this functionality is typically mediated by the system file picker or Storage Access Framework (SAF); we only access files when the user explicitly initiates a file operation.
Data Types: Files chosen or imported by the user (e.g., images, videos, documents, log files).
Handling: We access files only when the user explicitly selects them or grants permission. If the user chooses to upload files, images, or videos, we will upload them to our servers or authorized third-party cloud storage. Uploads use encrypted transport; server-side access controls and least-privilege principles are applied to protect stored files. We do not scan device storage or upload files without user authorization.
User Controls: Users can revoke storage access in system settings or manage/delete uploaded files within the App.
Note: If your implementation does not require permanent mount/unmount privileges, consider using the system file picker (SAF) to minimize sensitive permission requests and improve review outcomes.
We follow the principle of data minimization and retain files and media only to the extent necessary to provide the requested features.
For user-uploaded images, videos, files, and attachments, retention is determined by the user’s chosen setting ("Default retention: according to user choice"). Users may view and modify retention settings or delete their uploaded content at any time. Once a deletion request is processed, we will remove the file from production storage within a reasonable timeframe and purge backups according to our backup retention policy (backup deletion may have short delay).
Logs and diagnostic data are retained under a limited retention policy (e.g., 30–90 days) for operational and reliability improvements; retention periods will be minimized consistent with technical and legal requirements.
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age applicable in your jurisdiction). If the App is used by children or collects children's information, parental consent mechanisms and compliance (e.g., COPPA) must be implemented and described.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data (e.g., encrypted transmission via TLS/HTTPS, server access controls, least-privilege principles). For files and media stored on servers we apply access controls, authorization separation, and optional at-rest encryption as appropriate. However, no system is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes that affect user rights, we will notify users via in-App notifications or email and update the Effective Date on this page.
